Kyiv's botanical garden is facing unprecedented challenges due to the extreme cold and relentless drone and missile attacks from Moscow targeting Ukraine's energy facilities. As a result, many homes are without electricity during what has become the harshest winter since the onset of the invasion four years ago. The director of the botanical garden, R. Ivanikov, shared that the ongoing assaults and temperature drops have jeopardized nearly 4,000 plant species, which are part of their cherished collection.
