A recent study conducted by the German automobile club ADAC highlights these rising expenses, illustrating that even simple replacements, such as windshield repairs, can amount to exorbitant prices. This trend is largely driven by the advanced technologies that modern vehicles incorporate, which complicate what used to be straightforward repairs.

Many drivers have faced minor accidents, often resulting in only damages to parts like bumpers or headlights. However, with the complexities of modern automobiles, these once manageable issues can lead to repair bills in the tens of thousands of koruna. The ADAC's study compared repair costs across 21 current car models under three hypothetical scenarios: a minor parking accident involving the left front of the car, a similar incident involving the right rear, and a scenario requiring windshield replacement, possibly due to stone chips. An independent expert calculated the estimated costs that authorized service centers would charge for such repairs.

The results of the ADAC's findings reveal significant price disparities among different brands and models, demonstrating how some vehicles incur much higher repair expenses than others.
