12 News Poll: Joint List Strengthens the Opposition Bloc Against Netanyahu by One Mandate

A recent poll indicates that a merger of the Arab parties in Israel strengthens their bloc against Netanyahu by one mandate, bringing the total opposition seats to 70.

A recent election poll published by Channel 12 in Israel shows that a unification of the Arab political parties—Hadash, Ta’al, Ra’am, and Balad—would boost their representation by two mandates, totaling 12 mandates. This shift enhances the total opposition against the Netanyahu government to 70 mandates, while the government bloc receives 50 mandates. Without this unification, the Arab parties would only secure 10 mandates combined, with Balad failing to cross the electoral threshold.

The poll also highlights that if elections were held today, the Blue and White party led by Benny Gantz would not pass the threshold for seats in the Knesset. An additional poll assessing support for a joint list involving the "military reservists" led by Yoaz Hendel and Blue and White indicates they would earn four mandates together. This dynamic has implications for the traditional party landscape, as several other parties including Likud, Yesh Atid, Naftali Bennett 2026, and Yisrael Beiteinu lose one mandate each.

Furthermore, the first poll examined individual votes for Hadash-Ta’al, Ra’am, and Balad—not as a united list—revealing that Likud would acquire 26 mandates, while Bennett 2026 receives 21 mandates. The Democratic and Yisrael Beiteinu parties would gain a combined 11 mandates, and parties like Shas and Israel Beiteinu would acquire nine, with Yesh Atid and United Torah Judaism getting seven mandates. This unfolding political landscape indicates significant shifts in voter preferences that could impact the upcoming elections.
