VIDEO shows huge cloud covering the sky before the storm in RS
A large storm cloud was filmed over Bagé in Rio Grande do Sul, signaling an impending heavy rainfall forecast across the region.
The recent extreme heat experienced throughout Rio Grande do Sul is giving way to substantial rainfall and slightly cooler temperatures as a significant weather change occurs. Early Thursday morning, a massive storm cloud was observed over Bagé, a city in the southern part of the state, indicating the onset of expected heavy rains. Meteorologists have predicted that this storm cloud will spread across much of the state later that day, with the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre expected to receive between 50 and 60 millimeters of rain. Areas such as Passo Fundo and Erechim will be less affected by these severe weather conditions. Meteorological experts from Climatempo attribute the likelihood of storms to the movement of a cold front over the ocean. This change is expected to lead to more moderate temperatures in cities like Porto Alegre, where high temperatures previously reached 35ºC. From Friday onwards, residents can anticipate a significant drop in temperature as the rainfall provides relief from the heat. This shift in weather patterns highlights the impacts of seasonal changes in the region and suggests a transition from a summer heatwave to a more temperate climate, which could affect daily activities and agriculture in the area.
