In Janaúba, Brazil, police reported that a woman recognized her son and nephew from images showing them as the two individuals involved in a shooting incident targeting a 33-year-old man. The police were called to the scene following reports of numerous gunshots fired at a residence in the Clarita neighborhood. During the operation, officers spotted the target of the shooting attempting to hide a firearm in a residential yard, prompting an entry to secure the area and the individuals involved.

While entering the property, law enforcement discovered a revolver with its serial number scratched off, along with six rounds of ammunition. Additionally, a bag containing more ammunition was found within the residence. The man, who was the target in the shooting, explained to police that he had acquired the gun for self-defense purposes after having faced gunfire in the past.
