Jasmi Joensuu was sidelined – Here is the reason

Jasmi Joensuu has been sidelined from the Finnish women's team for the Olympic 10-kilometer race despite her recent performance due to concerns over fatigue.

Jasmi Joensuu, who recently placed 14th in the Trondheim World Cup's free technique 10-kilometer event, has been excluded from the Finnish women's team for the upcoming Olympic 10-kilometer race. Reijo Jylhä, the head coach of the women’s team, explained that they decided to not overexert Joensuu, noting that they had 'kept her in reserve' due to the conditions and her prior performance. Jylhä had indicated before the Olympics that the 10-kilometer race was a qualifying event for the 4x7.5-kilometer relay, which added pressure on the selections.
