The race covered five stages, extending over 950 kilometers through coastal and mountainous regions in five provinces of Oman. This year's tour emphasized both the sporting prowess and the tourist appeal of the Sultanate.

The Oman Cycling Federation noted that the 'Muscat Classic' received a higher classification from the International Cycling Union (UCI), enhancing the tour's standing on the global agenda. This recognition is critical for Oman in its efforts to host more international sporting events, which can further elevate its international profile and tourism sector.

The competition concluded with the Astana team from Italy winning the overall title, highlighting not only athletic performance but also Oman’s growing capability to host significant cycling events.
