Searches conducted in Norway related to Thorbjørn Jagland, suspected connections to Jeffrey Epstein

Norwegian police are conducting searches at properties linked to Thorbjørn Jagland in connection with investigations related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Investigations have been initiated regarding Thorbjørn Jagland following the release of documents by the U.S. Department of Justice in January, indicating that he and/or his family had connections to Jeffrey Epstein from 2011 to 2018, during which time Jagland was chair of the Nobel Committee and Secretary General of the Council of Europe. The documents raised significant concerns given the high-profile nature of Jagland's positions while being linked to Epstein, a notorious figure embroiled in serious criminal activities. As a result, Norway's economic crime police unit, Oekokrim, has confirmed that they are currently undertaking searches at residences and vacation properties associated with Jagland. His lawyer, Anders Brosveet, stated this in a public announcement, highlighting the ongoing legal scrutiny Jagland is facing.
