Ceferin on the End of the Super League: The Only Winner is Football

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin addressed the organization's 50th congress in Brussels, highlighting UEFA's strong financial success and optimistic future for European football despite challenges.

At the 50th regular congress held in Brussels, UEFA confirmed its strong financial position with a budget of approximately five billion euros and reserves of 522 million euros. UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin emphasized to delegates that the organization is one of the most successful sports institutions globally, projecting a bright future for European football despite ongoing challenges.

For the first time in history, UEFA's total revenue for the 2024/25 season will exceed five billion euros, marking an increase of 737 million euros from the 2023/24 season. A notable portion of this revenue—3.9 billion euros—will be redistributed directly to clubs and national associations, showcasing UEFA's commitment to financial support across the football community.

Notably, in this season alone, nearly 400 million euros will be allocated to clubs that did not qualify for the league phase of European competitions, with 308 million euros designated for clubs that do not participate in European competitions at all. Ceferin's comments reflect a proactive approach to addressing inequalities in football finance and promoting the stability and growth of the sport across Europe.
