Nordic Skiing at the 2026 Winter Games: Ski Jumping, Cross-Country Skiing, and Combination β The Olympic Schedule
The Nordic skiing disciplines for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy will take place in Val di Fiemme, featuring ski jumping and cross-country events.
The upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics, set to take place in Italy, will feature Nordic skiing disciplines hosted in the scenic Val di Fiemme. Notably, the ski jumping events will occur at the prestigious Giuseppe Dal Ben facility in Predazzo, an arena recognized as one of Europe's best. Cross-country races are scheduled to be held in Tesero, showcasing the region's suitability for winter sports. The venues will also cater to Nordic combined athletes who will participate in both skiing and jumping events.
The Giuseppe Dal Ben arena features a normal hill size of 107 meters and a large hill size of 141 meters, with respective K-points of 98 and 128 meters. Previous modifications followed injuries sustained by athletes during a summer event, ensuring improved safety for competitors. The Olympic schedule entails six ski jumping events, comprising two individual competitions for both men and women, in addition to a mixed team event and a menβs super team event that allows only two athletes per nation to compete, deviating from the traditional four.
As the world anticipates the Winter Games, the inclusion of these Nordic skiing events marks a significant highlight, drawing attention to both established and emerging talents in winter sports. The arrangements and significant planning for these events underline the collaborative effort required to host such a prestigious international competition successfully, enhancing the profile of winter sports in Italy.
