A report reveals sad information about young Finns

A recent report indicates a rise in loneliness among young people in Finland, with a significant percentage experiencing feelings of isolation.

A report commissioned by the Finnish Red Cross has highlighted a concerning increase in loneliness among young people in Finland over the past year. According to the Yksinäisyysbarometri, or Loneliness Barometer, 65% of respondents reported experiencing loneliness at least sometimes, which is an increase from 59% the previous year. Among the most affected age groups are young adults aged 16-24 and 25-34, where the frequency of loneliness is notably high. The report indicates that 59% of the younger group feels lonely several times a month, and 57% of the older group experiences the same, underscoring a widespread social issue.
