Mapfre achieves a record profit of 1.079 billion euros in 2025, a growth of 19.6%

Mapfre reported a record net profit of 1.079 billion euros for the year 2025, marking a 19.6% increase from the previous year.

Mapfre, a leading Spanish insurance company, closed the year 2025 with a net profit of 1.079 billion euros, representing a significant 19.6% increase compared to the previous year. This result marks a new record for the insurer, with pre-tax profits exceeding 2.415 billion euros for the first time. Antonio Huertas, the president of Mapfre, announced these results during the annual results presentation held in Madrid on Thursday.

The historic results, which were also reported to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), were driven by a remarkable 46.8% increase in the technical result of Non-Life insurance, alongside a strong performance in the Life insurance segment, particularly in Iberia and Brazil, which collectively contributed nearly 200 million euros. Additional factors contributing to this success include a positive financial result and reductions in adjustments due to hyperinflation, reflecting the company's adaptive strategies in a challenging economic landscape.

Huertas further elaborated on the complexities of the international environment in which Mapfre operates, characterized by protectionist policies, tariff tensions, and notable market volatility. Despite these challenges, the robust performance of Mapfre indicates its strong market position and underscores the effectiveness of its strategies in navigating the evolving landscape of the global insurance market.
