Verkkokauppa.com significantly improved its sales at the end of the year
Verkkokauppa.com reported a substantial increase in sales, with a growth of over 20% in revenue during the last quarter of the year compared to the previous year.
Verkkokauppa.com, a retailer specializing in consumer electronics and home products, achieved remarkable sales growth at the end of the year. The company's revenue for the period between October and December increased by more than 20% year-on-year, amounting to 168 million euros. This surge in sales was accompanied by a notable rise in comparable operating profit, which reached nearly six million euros.
The company highlighted Black Friday as one of its significant successes of the year, with sales during this event increasing by 22% compared to the previous year, driven by exceptionally high customer activity. The transition to digital television also positively impacted consumer sales, with key product categories, particularly televisions and entertainment products, serving as major growth drivers for the retailer.
Looking ahead, the general market demand is expected to recover only gradually this year, primarily due to low consumer confidence. The company is mindful of these challenges but remains focused on leveraging its strong sales performance during the previous quarter to navigate the upcoming market conditions effectively.
