Carlinhos Brown kicks off Carnival festivities in Salvador with notable international and local guest artists.
Carlinhos Brown, a prominent figure in Brazilian music, has launched the Carnival season on February 12 with a lineup characterized by a blend of rhythms and innovation. This year's celebrations will feature international artists including Nasri, the Canadian vocalist of the band Magic!, and Black Coffee, a South African DJ acclaimed as the best in 2024 by a Spanish association. Brown announced these guests during press conferences held on February 9 at the Candyall Guetho Square, showcasing the cultural diversity that Carnival represents.
The inclusion of these international artists highlights Brown's approach to bridging cultures through music, and he expressed his excitement about collaborating with diverse talents at the street carnival in Salvador. The first night will see these international acts performing on the trio within the Dodรด circuit (Barra-Ondina), establishing a unique dynamic for attendees who can experience a mix of local and global sounds.
In addition to the international lineup, the Carnival celebrations will also pay tribute to samba, featuring artists like Simone and Karinah on February 13, followed by Amanda Santiago on February 14. These performances will take place in the same circuit, further emphasizing Brown's commitment to enriching the cultural tapestry of Carnival while honoring traditional Brazilian music forms.
