A recent report from Truecaller has highlighted the alarming statistics of spam calls received by Indians in 2025, amounting to over 4,000 crore (400 billion) calls. This extensive research, titled "2025 India Insights Report - India's Spam Shield", reveals that users blocked around 1,189 crore (118.9 billion) spam calls, which included approximately 770 crore (77 billion) identified as fraudulent. Furthermore, the average duration of these spam calls was reported to be around 1.8 minutes, indicating a substantial impact on users' time and resources. Additionally, the report identified a staggering number of spam messages, totaling 12,903 crore (1.29 trillion).
