Siemens has kicked off its fiscal year 2025/26 on a positive note, leading the company's board to raise its revenue expectations due to robust performance in various industrial sectors. Roland Busch, the CEO, highlighted that Siemens is well-positioned in its growth markets, with artificial intelligence (AI) serving as a significant growth driver. Busch praised the company's ability to leverage AI in practical applications alongside their partners, which further supports their optimistic outlook for the year.
In the first quarter, Siemens experienced a notable increase in order intake, which rose by ten percent on a comparable basis across all industrial sectors. Revenues also showed strong growth, climbing by eight percent. Even when accounting for the negative impact of a strong Euro, the order intake surged by seven percent to reach €21.4 billion, while revenues increased by four percent to €19.1 billion. This growth comes amidst challenging currency conditions, illustrating the company's resilience and strong market demand.
Furthermore, Siemens reported a significant increase in profit, with an impressive fourfold rise. This robust performance in a time of economic uncertainty underscores the company's strategic focus on integrating cutting-edge technologies like AI into their business models. These advancements position Siemens as a leader in industrial tech, indicating a confident trajectory for future financial quarters as they continue to expand their footprint in AI-driven innovations.
