Casualties in Dnipro, and Moscow Evacuates Village Due to Ukrainian Shelling
Ukrainian authorities reported four fatalities in Dnipro from a Russian missile strike, while a Russian official confirmed the evacuation of a nearby village due to a Ukrainian missile attack in Volgograd region.
Ukrainian authorities announced that Dnipro province was hit by a Russian missile attack early Thursday, resulting in at least four casualties. This attack targeted both residential and non-residential buildings along the Dnipro River, leading the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, to inform the public via Telegram that emergency teams were dispatched to the affected areas. This incident reflects the ongoing escalations in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine as strikes continue to impact civilian life.
In parallel, Russian officials reported the interception of a Ukrainian missile targeting the Volgograd region, which led to a fire in a military facility. This prompted local authorities to evacuate a nearby village, highlighting the reciprocal nature of attacks between both nations. Ukrainian officials have previously reported the deaths of ten civilians, including three children in Kharkiv province, due to ongoing Russian bombardments across various regions, including Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian emergency services reported that Russian strikes have also affected other regions such as Zaporizhia and Kherson, causing injuries to civilians and damage to infrastructure. Concurrently, the Ukrainian military announced targeting a refinery in the Volgograd region, indicating the expanding scope of military actions as both sides attempt to strengthen their positions amidst the enduring conflict.
