Abandoned by Air France, Transavia aims to resume the link between Orly and Nice

Transavia, the low-cost subsidiary of Air France KLM, is taking over the route between Orly and Nice, previously serviced by Air France, to provide competitive prices and services for regular travelers.

Transavia, the low-cost airline affiliated with Air France KLM, is set to resume the air link between Orly and Nice, which has been neglected by Air France. This new service aims to attract regular travelers by offering competitive pricing and enhanced services aimed at making the flight experience more appealing. The airline has plans to position this route not only as a vital connection between Paris and the Côte d'Azur but also as its primary domestic line in terms of sold seats and flight frequency.

Julien Mallard, the commercial deputy general director of Transavia, has expressed the company’s commitment to developing this route in the Terminal 2 of Orly Airport, which is still waiting for the complete transition of Transavia to take over from Air France. Clarifying the discontinuation of the former service, he reassured travelers of the new offerings that Transavia will bring to the table, endeavoring to elevate the travel experience between Paris and Nice.

This strategic move reflects the shift within the airline industry in France, where low-cost carriers are increasingly gaining ground against traditional airlines. With the competitive landscape continuously evolving, Transavia’s efforts to reintroduce this route signify a significant change in how travelers will connect between these two major French cities, potentially altering passenger habits and preferences in the process.
