IPVA payment in a single installment due starting this Thursday (12) in SP; see calendar
Starting this Thursday, the second cycle of IPVA 2026 payments begins in São Paulo.
Beginning on Thursday, the 12th, the second cycle of payment deadlines for the IPVA 2026 starts in São Paulo. This stage includes options for drivers who have not chosen to pay in full; they must either pay the single installment without any discount or, for those who opted for installment payments, settle their second installment of the tax. The payment calendar will continue until the 23rd, depending on the last digit of the vehicle's license plate.
The first deadlines target vehicle owners with license plates ending in 1, whose payment is due by this Thursday. The next day, Friday the 13th, will see payments for vehicles ending in 2. This schedule will proceed through the subsequent weekdays until it reaches vehicles ending in 0, which are due on the 23rd of the month. If a due date falls on a weekend or holiday, payments can be made on the next business day without penalty.
After the due date, penalties and interest will begin to accrue, and those who chose installment payments will lose the option to continue with their payment plan. This structured approach to the IPVA deadlines aims to ensure compliance from vehicle owners, thereby increasing tax collection efficiency for the state of São Paulo in 2026.
