On a Wednesday, an emotional moment unfolded aboard the South Bihar Express, train number 13287, as a woman named Khushboo, traveling alone with her two children from Raipur to Patna, went into labor. Initially, her fellow passengers thought she was merely feeling unwell, but her condition quickly escalated, leading to the unexpected delivery of her baby girl within the confines of the train coach. Passengers rallied together to assist, signaling for help from the railway staff as the train approached Jhajha station.
As the South Bihar Express drew near to Jhajha station, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Government Railway Police (GRP) were alerted immediately to prepare for the emergency. Upon arriving at the platform, SIPF Ashok Kumar and team sprung into action under the 'Operation Seva' initiative, which aims to deliver timely medical assistance during emergencies. They organized for medical professionals and an ambulance to transport the mother and newly born child to a nearby hospital, ensuring they received prompt and necessary care.
