An illegal immigrant soccer coach faces numerous charges, including murder and sexual assault against a minor, after allegedly killing one of his players.
Mario Edgardo Garcia-Aquino, a 44-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador, is facing grave charges after allegedly raping and murdering 13-year-old Oscar Hernandez, one of his soccer players. Garcia-Aquino, who became a soccer coach in the San Fernando Valley after entering the United States, reportedly met Hernandez at Whitsett Fields Park, a local site for youth soccer games. The allegations against him have increasingly intensified, with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office recently adding nine new charges, including multiple counts of sodomy and oral copulation of a minor.
