In Guelph, Ontario, police reported a troubling incident where an unregistered cellphone made over 120 calls to 911 in a single evening. The Guelph Police Service noted that the phone called the emergency number at least 129 times within a five-hour span, with many of the calls involving a child’s voice heard in the background. Despite the urgency of the situation, emergency communicators could not ascertain any useful information, as they were unable to engage anyone on the other end.
