On February 8, São Carlos experienced heavy rainfall that resulted in flooding in the room of the percussion group at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), damaging numerous musical instruments essential for their performances. The storm led to a significant amount of debris within the space, as water overflowed from the university's lake. The percussion group, which has maintained a vibrant tradition for 25 years at the institution, is now facing a crisis as their instruments were not only damaged by water but also contaminated by mud.
