Deléctrico bets on the last mile with Farizon's electric SuperVan
Deléctrico has announced the addition of Farizon’s electric SuperVan to its portfolio, targeting the commercial vehicle market in Mexico.
Deléctrico, headed by Lorena Martínez, has unveiled its partnership with Farizon, a division of the Asian automotive group Geely, to introduce the SuperVan electric vehicle to the Mexican market. As a master dealer, Deléctrico aims to provide this innovative electric vehicle designed specifically for cargo and passenger transport. The SuperVan is built from the ground up as an electric vehicle rather than being an adaptation of a combustion vehicle, which enables it to achieve an operational range of up to 380 kilometers between charges, and typically requires recharging every three days in urban settings.
To support the operational efficiency of the SuperVan, Deléctrico has integrated ultra-fast chargers from Huawei, also distributed by the company. Charging times for the SuperVan are targeted at between 20 to 25 minutes, enhancing the vehicle's usability for commercial applications. The SuperVan features a spacious cargo capacity of 13.2 cubic meters and can carry up to 1.2 tons, with variants available for 15 to 17 passengers, and even a refrigerated configuration to cater to different market needs.
The innovative design of the SuperVan, notable for its pillarless B design, reflects modern automotive trends aimed at maximizing interior space and functionality. This launch positions Deléctrico as a key player in the shift towards electrification in Mexico's transportation sector, aligning with global trends emphasizing sustainability and energy efficiency in commercial vehicles. By effectively combining technological advancements with practical design, the SuperVan could significantly impact urban transportation solutions in the country.
