This victory secured them the second place in Group A, making it possible for them to compete among the best teams in Europe. While this win alone may not have guaranteed their advancement, Olympiakos's victory over Radnički from Kragujevac played a crucial role in Mladost's progression, as the latter failed to defeat Olympiakos in their match.
During the game against Vasas, Mladost performed consistently and effectively managed the match, focusing more on the result of the Olympiakos-Radnički game as they entered the final quarter with a five-goal lead. Konstantin Harkov was notably the top scorer for Mladost, netting five goals, while teammates Ivan Nagaev, Matias Biljaka, and Franko Lazić contributed with two goals each.
