'Never give my contact', 'always delete the messages': suspect of leading a facade bakery to sell drugs imposed rules on users; see
A suspect known as 'Maluco Baker', accused of running a sophisticated drug delivery operation disguised as a bakery, was arrested alongside two accomplices in São Paulo.
The suspect, identified as the leader of a sophisticated drug delivery network dubbed 'Maluco Baker', enforced strict rules on clients to maintain discretion and security within the operation. Among the rules were directives against sharing the trafficker's contact information and a mandate for customers to delete their messages following transactions. This was designed to reduce traceability and enhance operational security. The police arrested the suspect and two others during an operation conducted on November 11 in Itaquaquecetuba, a city within the Greater São Paulo area. This arrest was the culmination of a lengthy investigation that uncovered a hidden drug trafficking operation posing as an online bakery. Authorities executed five search and seizure warrants throughout the city and also in East São Paulo addresses, highlighting the extent of the network's reach. According to Police Delegate Luiz Romani, the group utilized a 'quality seal' to ensure that their product delivery via motorcycle couriers was perceived as legitimate. Customers were required to adhere to a behavioral code, which included a warning that 'a friend of a friend is not your friend', emphasizing the need for secrecy within their dealings. This operation sheds light on the innovative methods employed by drug traffickers to blend illegal activities into everyday life, complicating law enforcement efforts.
