They described the conditions in the emergency department in Fossvogur as extremely severe, posing a daily and unacceptable risk to both patient and staff safety. This concern has been publicly recognized by hospital management, the public health office, and health authorities, yet no substantial actions have been taken to remedy the situation. The current capacity of the emergency department, which stands at 36 spaces, has been highlighted as insufficient to meet the demands placed upon it, indicating potential operational failings in addressing patient needs.
