Sunno in Qatar collaborates with 'Geni' for delivery services

Sunno, a delivery app in Qatar, has announced the integration of AI through a digital assistant named 'Geni' to enhance customer experience by providing personalized recommendations.

Hamad Al-Hajri, the founder of the Sunno app in Qatar, revealed the company's strategy of employing invisible artificial intelligence throughout the delivery process, from the moment an order is placed until it reaches the customer. The app offers a range of delivery services, including food, groceries, and pharmaceuticals, all within 20 minutes, as well as features like laundry service and ticket bookings for cinemas. Al-Hajri discussed these innovations during his appearance on the 'Smart Life' program at the Qatar Web Summit 2026.

Al-Hajri emphasized the company's philosophy on artificial intelligence, stating that 'the best AI is the one you don’t notice'. They utilize an AI-enhanced recommendation program that showcases products based on user behavior. Additionally, a digital assistant named 'Geni', inspired by the Arabic genie, assists customers through natural dialogue to help them select suitable products. This approach aims to provide a more intuitive shopping experience.

Furthermore, Sunno employs AI customization technology similar to Netflix, presenting restaurant and dish options tailored to each customer’s preferences. The app's AI learns to recognize individual desires, which enhances user engagement and optimizes the delivery experience. This integration of technology reflects a growing trend in Qatar’s tech landscape, positioning Sunno at the forefront of the delivery service industry.
