Finnish athlete Kristian Pulli showcased his impressive form at the indoor competition in Belgrade, achieving three jumps over eight meters and securing fourth place.

Finnish long jumper Kristian Pulli performed exceptionally well at the indoor competition in Belgrade, where he achieved three jumps surpassing eight meters, with his longest jump measuring 808 centimeters. Despite this remarkable feat, he finished in fourth place in a highly competitive field. The Finnish Athletics Federation announced his performance following a strong showing at the event.

The competition was won by Bulgaria's Bozhidar Saraboyukov, who set a new world-leading mark of 845 centimeters. Other notable performances included Greece's Miltiadis Tentoglou with a jump of 827 centimeters and Jamaica's Carey McLeod with 822 centimeters. Saraboyukov notably improved his previous best jump of 839 centimeters, achieved just three days prior in Metz, France. In total, there were 14 jumps over eight meters recorded during the Belgrade meet, highlighting the elite level of competition.

Pulli's achievement marks him as the hundredth Finnish athlete to surpass the eight-meter barrier, signifying a significant milestone in Finnish athletics. Throughout his career, Pulli has cleared eight meters in 11 competitions, with outdoor and indoor personal bests of 827 and 824 centimeters, respectively. His last jump over eight meters was in August of the previous year in Sestriere, Italy, indicating a strong comeback and maintaining his status as a top competitor in the sport.
