Former Pakistan Army Chief General (Retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa has been admitted to the hospital after sustaining serious head injuries from a fall in his bathroom.

General (Retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa, former Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, has been admitted to the ICU of a military hospital in Rawalpindi after falling and suffering severe head injuries. According to family sources, the incident occurred around 4:30 AM on Tuesday when he slipped in the bathroom, leading to significant trauma to his head. Medical staff are monitoring his condition closely as he undergoes treatment following the fall.

The hospital officials reported that General Bajwa underwent major surgery due to the three serious injuries sustained to his head. Fortunately, the surgery was successful, and his condition is currently stable. However, it is expected that his full recovery may take several weeks, depending on his health progress in the coming days.

General Bajwa served as the Chief of Army Staff from 2016 until November 2022, appointed first by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and continued under Imran Khan's government. His leadership has been pivotal during a significant period of Pakistan's military history, and health updates regarding him are closely watched both nationally and internationally due to his prominence in military and political spheres.
