Arrest made in Canada-wide warrant case 2 years after deadly shooting

In the aftermath of the shooting, a Canada-wide warrant was issued for the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Winardo Winteria Morris. It wasn't until February 9, 2026, nearly two years following the incident, that police announced Morris's arrest. He has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the fatal incident.
