In light of the recent increase in measles cases, health authorities in Mexico have taken proactive measures to enhance vaccination efforts across the country. The government has reported that from January 1, 2025, to February 6, 2026, a total of 14,297,330 doses of measles vaccine have been administered as part of its Universal Vaccination Program. This initiative aims to strengthen the culture of vaccination among the Mexican population, highlighting it as a crucial tool for collective prevention and protection against outbreaks.

To facilitate access to vaccinations, a new digital platform has been launched that allows citizens to find the location, operating days, and hours of over 21,000 vaccination modules set up across the country. This effort was announced during a morning press conference by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and the Deputy Secretary of Health Policies and Population Welfare, Ramiro López Elizalde. The platform aims to provide vital information to the public, ensuring that individuals can easily access vaccination services as part of the government's public health response.

By improving physical access to vaccinations through this platform, the Mexican government is not only aiming to curb the rise of measles cases but also foster a greater awareness and responsibility towards vaccination in the population.
