The Constitutional Court of Slovakia has intervened to suspend the effectiveness of an amendment concerning the legal framework for informants under the Penal Code. This decision follows appeals from the General Prosecutor Maroš Žilinka as well as opposition lawmakers who criticized the amendment for its potential to aid the accused parliamentary vice-chairman, Tibor Gašpar. The court also adopted changes relating to Beneš decrees and campaign interference but did not suspend their effectiveness.
