A luxury vehicle was seized in Aracaju, Sergipe during an operation targeting interstate drug trafficking led by the Integrated Force for Combating Organized Crime (FICCO).
In an operational effort against interstate drug trafficking, the Integrated Force for Combating Organized Crime (FICCO) executed two search and seizure warrants in Aracaju, Sergipe, leading to the seizure of a luxury vehicle. This operation, named 'Operação Regresso,' was supported by authorities from the state of Acre and indicated that a well-structured criminal group was involved in large-scale drug distribution, employing various mechanisms to conceal their assets.
The investigations revealed that the criminal organization was responsible for handling substantial amounts of cocaine, with approximately 350 kg seized in different states including Pará, Goiás, and Acre. The operation resulted in the issuance of five preventive arrest warrants and 18 search and seizure warrants across several locations, including Rio Branco and Cruzeiro do Sul in Acre, alongside the Aracaju operations. Authorities have also initiated the process to seize and block the assets linked to the suspects.
Those implicated in this extensive drug trafficking network face serious legal consequences, as they may be charged with significant drug offenses, reflecting Brazil's ongoing struggle with organized crime and the trafficking of illicit substances across state lines. The operation underscores the collaborative efforts between various states in combatting drug-related crime and maintaining public safety.
