Shooting in Canada: Students and teachers took shelter in the school for hours

A shooting incident occurred at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in Canada while automotive mechanics classes were taking place. Students were briefly allowed to work on their personal vehicles, but one student returned, alarmed after hearing gunfire outside. Shortly thereafter, the school principal, Stacie Gruntman, urged everyone to lock down the premises for safety. An instructor, Jarbas Noronha, along with 15 students, managed to secure their location by barricading the doors and preparing a contingency plan in case of an intruder. They positioned themselves in what they believed was the safest area of the school, highlighting the fear and uncertainty during the lockdown.
