The Greek Navy has embarked on an at-sea training period for its first FDI frigate, the 'KIMON', almost a month after its official induction into the fleet. This training is part of an operational evaluation process ongoing in Greek waters, where the crew will partake in extensive training on several systems essential for the frigate's functionalities.

The training encompasses various aspects crucial for the warship's operational preparedness. Significant areas of focus include education on the Combat Management System (CMS), radar and sensor operations, weapons handling, and maintenance support. In a parallel development, the second FDI frigate 'NEARCHOS' has recently set sail from the Naval Group shipyards in Lorient, France, and has commenced its sea trials.
