On January 17, on Guntersville Lake in northern Alabama, an extraordinary fishing event took place. Fishing guide Mike Mitchell took clients Bob and Forrest Winters from Kentucky on a fishing trip to explore the waters using a technique called slow trolling, which involves dragging bait behind the boat to mimic the movements of a wounded fish. They started their voyage early in the foggy morning and began with a catch of a 9-kilogram flathead catfish that they released back into the lake. This initial catch, however, was just the beginning of an unexpectedly thrilling experience.

As the fishing continued, Bob Winters hooked into a massive fish, leading to intense excitement. The anglers utilized a combination of six rods and planer boards while dragging large bait across the bottom at a depth of 15 meters.
