An investigation has been opened by the Civil Police regarding the death of 22-year-old actor Kaio Alexandre dos Santos, who died on Christmas Eve in 2025. The inquiry particularly focuses on the medical treatment he received at the Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) in Tatuí, São Paulo, where he visited twice seeking medical assistance shortly before his passing. The police confirmed that the inquiry began in January, following complaints from Santos' family about the circumstances surrounding his visits to the health facility.

According to family statements, Santos sought help on December 21 and December 23 and was discharged on both occasions without receiving adequate care. Tragically, he passed away only two days after his last visit. The young actor's family is raising concerns over possible medical negligence, prompting the municipal government to also conduct its own investigation into the medical procedures followed during those visits. They expressed their commitment to rigorously examine the conduct of medical staff involved in the case.
