Emilie Pilthammar, a representative of the Swedish Democrats (SD), has faced significant backlash due to her blog posts perceived as pro-Russian, which sparked strong reactions within the party's national organization. Party leader Jimmie Åkesson labeled her comments as problematic, especially regarding the unclear implications of Russia’s actions toward Ukraine, indicating that her position raises serious concerns for the party's stance and image.

The party's membership committee is scheduled to meet on Monday, where a formal personal matter related to Pilthammar will be opened.
