Young man arrested after shooting in Malmö – apprehended by taxi

A young man has been arrested in Malmö after a shooting incident that left two men injured, one critically.

Police and ambulance services were dispatched to Jägersro Villastad in Malmö following a shooting that occurred around 8:39 PM. Authorities immediately began an intensive investigation aimed at locating the suspect involved. According to Nils Norling, a spokesperson for the Malmö police, a man in his twenties was apprehended shortly after the incident and is now being held on suspicion of attempted murder.

The shooting reportedly took place near a villa, though police have not disclosed whether it occurred inside or outside the premises. On Tuesday evening, Region Skåne announced that two men, aged 55 and 20, had been injured in the shooting. The younger victim suffered serious injuries, while the elder man sustained minor injuries, but both are reported to be in stable condition, with one currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

The swift arrest of the young man suggests that law enforcement is taking proactive measures to address the violence in the area.
