Cousin testifies about theft at the house of Suzane Richthofen's uncle; list of items includes rare Barbie collection and replica of Miró painting

The cousin of Suzane von Richthofen's uncle testified regarding a theft at his house in São Paulo, which included valuable items such as a rare Barbie collection and a replica of a Miró painting.

On January 9, 2023, a theft occurred in the house of Miguel Abdalla Netto, the uncle of Suzane von Richthofen, who is infamous for orchestrating the murder of her parents in 2002. Following Netto's death, his cousin Carmem Silvia Gonzales Magnani was interviewed by the civil police as part of the investigation into the theft. In her two-hour testimony, she detailed the disappearance of several valuable items from Netto's residence in São Paulo.

The list of stolen goods, accessed by the news outlet G1, included rare Barbie dolls, a replica painting by the renowned Spanish artist Joan Miró, as well as various imported toys, laundry machines, horse-riding helmets, collections of vinyl records and CDs, wooden sofas, marble tables, and several bottles of alcohol, tallying up to a total of 34 items. This extensive inventory reflects not only the value of the stolen goods but also highlights the personal significance these items may have held for Netto and his family.

The theft has raised various questions regarding the security of valuable personal belongings, especially following the death of the homeowner. While Carmem submitted this list to the authorities, it is still unclear whether a portion of these items has indeed been stolen, which could complicate the ongoing investigation. The implications of this case extend beyond just the theft itself, touching on issues of trust and familial ties in the aftermath of a tragic family history.
