Announcement of 1.5 lakh jobs in UP for various departments: education, police, and others
The Uttar Pradesh government has announced significant job openings in various departments, including education and police, adding up to 1.5 lakh positions by 2026.
The Uttar Pradesh government has made a substantial announcement in its budget regarding the creation of job opportunities for the youth of the state. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna detailed various schemes aimed at empowering women, farmers, and youth, underlining the government's commitment to skill development and employment generation. As a part of these initiatives, over 4 lakh youths have already been employed through various companies, highlighting the state’s focus on enhancing job prospects for its younger population.
In the education sector, notable recruitment has already taken place, with the appointment process completed for 8,966 positions in government secondary schools, which includes roles such as spokespersons, assistant teachers, and principals. Furthermore, since 2017, a total of 34,074 teachers have been recruited in aided secondary schools, showcasing the government’s proactive measures to strengthen educational staffing.
The Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, has reviewed vacant positions across all departments in a meeting with officials and subsequently approved plans to recruit approximately 1.5 lakh new government job positions by 2026. These roles will span various sectors including police, education, revenue, health, housing development, prisons, and child development, marking a significant stride in addressing the employment needs in Uttar Pradesh.
