The Uttar Pradesh government has presented a budget of 9.12 lakh crore rupees for the fiscal year 2026-27, focusing on education, healthcare, and new development initiatives.
The Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented a substantial budget of 9,12,696.35 crore rupees for the fiscal year 2026-27 in the state assembly. Accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the budget reflects a 12.9 percent increase compared to the previous year. A significant portion of this budget, 12.4 percent, has been allocated to education, while healthcare receives 6 percent. Additionally, the government has prioritized youth programs like 'Tech Yuva-Samarth Yuva' and free electricity for farmers as part of its developmental focus, aiming to invigorate the state's economy.
