The Sejm on Changes in Schools. Where to Watch? Live Broadcast
The Polish Sejm will discuss several important legislative projects, including changes to the education system and regulations concerning space activities.
On February 11, the Polish Sejm will address several significant legislative proposals, with a focus on the government's draft amendment to educational law. This amendment seeks to adapt the education system to demographic changes, particularly the declining number of students. The Ministry of Education aims to make schools operate more efficiently by reducing bureaucratic burdens and planning changes to regulations regarding textbook approvals.
Furthermore, at 11:30 AM, lawmakers will deliberate on a bill concerning space activities, which outlines how to conduct operations in outer space, issuance of relevant permits, liability for potential damages, and maintaining a registry of space objects. This applies to all objects launched above 100 kilometers, such as scientific satellites.
Another critical topic on the agenda is legislation regarding the non-punishment of Polish volunteers fighting in Ukraine. If passed, these provisions would allow individuals to engage in military action without facing legal repercussions in Poland, reflecting the country's ongoing involvement and support in the regional conflict.
