A mother is planning to take legal action against the New South Wales (NSW) Police after her 16-year-old son was reportedly injured during a protest against Israeli President Isaac Herzog's visit to Sydney. The protest, organized by the Palestine Action Group, attracted around 6,000 participants and initially proceeded peacefully until some attendees attempted to unlawfully march towards the NSW parliament. During the unrest, the mother claims her son was violently tackled by the police, experiencing physical assaults that included being pushed, kicked, and dragged along the ground.
