Cho Gap-je: 'The far-right is a parasite... trying to use the People's Power party.'
Cho Gap-je, the head of Cho Gap-je dot com, criticized far-right influencers for seeking to take over the People's Power party, likening their influence to a parasitic relationship.
In a recent interview on SBS Radio's 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show', Cho Gap-je expressed concerns about far-right YouTubers, including Jeon Han-gil, exerting pressure on the leadership of the People's Power party in South Korea. He metaphorically compared the far-right group to a parasite, saying they are trying to exploit the party for their own gain. Cho elaborated on this metaphor, discussing how the parasite manipulates its host to eventually escape and reproduce, which he suggests could be the future of the far-right in South Korea politically.
Cho indicated that the far-right's influence over the People's Power party could lead to its eventual destabilization, warning that these factions may lead the party into turmoil. He questioned how the party could allow such a situation to occur and suggested that the far-right, which he estimates to be about 10% of the political landscape, would remain a troublesome faction in Korean politics. He argued that the consequences of this influence might result in significant shifts within the party's hierarchy and ideology.
Moreover, Cho challenged Jeon Han-gil's reputation, questioning his credibility and labeling him a conspiracy theorist regarding election fraud. He pointed out similarities in the communication patterns of figures like Yoon Seok-youl and Jang Dong-hyuk, implying that their statements lack logical consistency and are often opportunistic. This commentary occurs against a backdrop of increasing tensions within the People's Power party, as members wrestle with the demands and impact of far-right elements within their ranks.
