‘Glorifying Chun Doo-hwan’ Koo Seong-guk says 'cowardly decision' to avoid the party's organizational meeting... refuses to voluntarily withdraw from the People Power Party

Koo Seong-guk, a far-right YouTuber sanctioned by the People Power Party's ethics committee, has contested the party's demand for his resignation, claiming procedural inadequacies and a biased decision.

Koo Seong-guk, a far-right YouTuber who has faced sanctions from the People Power Party’s (PPP) Seoul Ethics Committee, announced on November 11 that he will contest the ethics committee's recommendation for him to voluntarily resign from the party. Koo expressed his disagreement with the sanction, labeling it a cowardly decision meant to evade a proper review by the party's organizational committee, which he believes would fail to uphold the sanction against him. Koo's infractions stemmed from his public promotion of displaying photos of former presidents Chun Doo-hwan and Roh Tae-woo, both of whom were convicted of insurrection, at party headquarters, which the ethics committee deemed inappropriate.
