Canary Islands, Greece and Turkey have never had such prices - new limits have been broken
The report reveals significant increases in vacation prices for popular tourist destinations among Polish travelers, driven by rising fuel costs and currency values.
A recent report indicates that the average vacation prices for Polish travelers have surged significantly, with an increase of 74 zloty compared to the same period last year. The steepest hikes in prices have been noted in the Chalkidiki Peninsula, climbing by 626 zloty, followed by Lanzarote and Corfu with increases of 441 and 400 zloty, respectively. Conversely, prices have seen declines in destinations like Calabria and Costa del Sol, where reductions of 476 zloty and 237 zloty were recorded.
This week's data pointed to an overall rise in travel costs to the five main holiday destinations favored by Polish tourists, particularly in Turkey and Bulgaria, which experienced hikes of 175 and 101 zloty. Moderate increases were observed in the Canary Islands, Greece, and Egypt, at 73, 34, and 23 zloty respectively. The report's authors also investigated whether the price hikes were attributable to rising costs in travel agencies, focusing on fuel prices and currency exchange rates as the primary factors affecting overall travel expenses.
As the travel season approaches, these price fluctuations could impact the choices of Polish travelers, who may adjust their budgets or consider alternative destinations based on these developments. Monitoring trends in travel prices is essential for both consumers and travel agencies in planning their strategies for the upcoming season, reflecting the economic factors that drive demand and accessibility to various locations.
