A one-year and nine-month-old baby is currently hospitalized at the Children's Hospital Nossa Senhora da Glória in Vitória, Brazil, after sustaining second-degree burns to both feet. The incident took place on Friday when the child was at a private daycare in Serra, a city in the Greater Vitória area. The baby's mother, Stefani Schaffer, reported that the parents were called to the daycare in the afternoon after being notified of the injury. Upon arrival, they found that the child's feet were severely injured and immediately took him for medical attention.

According to the mother, upon their arrival, staff mentioned that the child had been taken outside to cool off with a hose due to the heat. However, it seems that the child may have wandered into an area exposed to direct sunlight, where the surface was extremely hot. As a result, the baby stepped on it, resulting in the burns.
