Butcher kills partner and buries body in garden - 15-year hide, plastic bags, and DNA tests
A butcher has been found guilty of murdering her partner and hiding the body in their garden for 15 years.
Anna Podedworna was convicted of murdering Izabela Zablocka, whose dismembered body was discovered buried in a garden after a 15-year disappearance. The court heard that Podedworna, under growing personal pressures, revealed the location of the body to the police following inquiries by a Polish journalist. Testimonies during the trial detailed how Zablocka had lost contact with her family in 2010, leading to her being reported missing, and how Podedworna resorted to gruesome measures to conceal the crime. The disturbing account raises questions about domestic violence and unresolved cases of missing persons, as well as the challenges in police investigations in such long-term cases.
